For Years Cold Heaven has produced a late harvest viognier but not on a yearly basis. Only in years that would present the best fruit and conditions that would result in the best wine.
In 2013, long-time colleague, mentor, great friend, Kris Curran (former winemaker for Sea Smoke and current winemaker of Curran D’Alfonso) and I decided it would be fun to co-produce this wine solely for out greatest supporters, our greatest supporters, our wine club. It is also a culmination of the passion of two winemakers and our art but also the spirit of friends who simply wanted to make wine together, bounce ideas and have the experience it all entails.
