On the nose, toasted almonds, mature fruit wax, hard exotic spices and bee wax. On the palate, fresh fruits emerge with hints of grapefruit peel, juicy apricot, melon. Floral notes with delicate minerals complete the finish. There is a nice weight to the wine without being cloying. 100% dry with no residual sugar. Great with anything spicy!
Sonoma Coast Viognier is a very unique wine in that the 2012 and 2013 vintages were combined. The 2012 had very nice structure but lacked the depth of the 2013. This is due in part to the vineyard site being very young and it is my belief that Viognier vines produce more complexity as the vines age. The combination of these two vintages, make a more perfect and complete wine.
